Brian’s message to his family, read out at his funeral included:’I have been so lucky to have had a wonderful wife, two marvelous children and tow beautiful grand-daughters but most of all to have had two wonderful supportive parents. Please don’t cry or be sad for me. I have had a wonderful life and I am lucky to have lived as long as I have. I will be around you all in spirit.’
