Comment of contributor/s and sources
I came across this former-Ruskin student whilst carrying out voluntary work in the College library during my own studies for a history degree at Ruskin College in the first half of 2011. An entry in a leaflet Activities of some Former Students produced by the College in the 1950s (?) records the name “A.G.Holland” under “Educational” achievements, with no mention of first names, date of study at Ruskin or indeed from where s/he originated. Research is on-going to try to establish more detail and possible publications: such scarcity of information underlines the importance of the New Ruskin Archives to record and (re)place former students within the narrative of Ruskin College.
